At a Special General Meeting convened on Friday 4th March, it was unanimously agreed by all present that our organisation would now be called Brass Bands Northern Ireland (also to be known as BBNI). It was felt that our new name would better reflect our ambitions to represent and develop the brass banding community in Northern Ireland.

At the same meeting, our new constitution was also adopted.

We look forward to some exciting times ahead for local banding.
